Besides million of advantages, digitalization has also negative effects for the social cohesion. Keywords are polarisation, internet addiction, filter bubbles, hate speech etc..

In South Westfalia we start a pilot project how to nourish connectedness in the era of digitalization. So called "Tage der Verbundenheit" (Connectedness Days) bring together people of all walks of life, age, social and cultural background, including people with special needs. In a festival-style atmoshphere we provide "resonance spaces", dialogues, experience-based learning, enriched by scientific and artistic inputs.

"Tage der Verbundenheit" will lead to a central, biennial "COM.Festival der Verbundenheit", starting in 2024
